The Macallan Edition Series’ is the creation of Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno who handpicks a unique selection of casks to offer a special, limited edition expression each year.
The 2018 release of the Edition Series since Edition No. 1, the latest addition to the series showcases the ‘structure’ of Macallan’s whisky, following off from Edition No. 1 and Edition No. 2 that focuses on cask influence, and Edition No. 3 that explored the impact of aroma.
This bottling was aged in a combination of 7 different European and American cask types, and is described as ‘zesty, vibrant and invigorating’, containing flavours of rounded honey, sweet toffee and citrus fruits.
